Warranty Disclaimer

Last updated: May 2026

Commercial Engines LLC acts as an independent commercial engine sourcing and supplier network. Warranty terms vary by engine type, condition (used, rebuilt, or remanufactured), and the underlying supplier providing the unit. The applicable warranty for any specific engine, transmission, or component is confirmed in writing on the sales order or invoice issued at the time of purchase.

1. Warranty Varies By Unit

  • Used commercial engines typically include a limited parts warranty against major internal failure for a defined period from delivery.
  • Rebuilt engines may carry extended parts coverage, varying by builder.
  • Remanufactured engines typically carry the most comprehensive coverage available, often including extended terms.
  • Transmissions, turbos, and accessories may carry shorter or sale-specific warranty terms.

Exact warranty duration, coverage scope, and exclusions are listed on each invoice. Please review your invoice carefully before installation.

2. What Is Typically Covered

  • Engine block
  • Crankshaft, connecting rods, and pistons
  • Cylinder heads (when supplied as part of a long block)
  • Other major internal rotating components, as specified on the invoice

3. What Is Not Covered

  • Labor charges — no labor warranty is provided unless explicitly stated in writing on the invoice
  • Freight and shipping costs for return, replacement, or warranty inspection
  • Fluids, gaskets, sensors, injectors, turbochargers, EGR components, DPF/aftertreatment, and electronic accessories (unless explicitly included)
  • Damage caused by improper installation or installation by non-certified mechanics
  • Damage caused by overheating, contaminated fuel, low oil, lack of maintenance, or operator abuse
  • Modifications, performance tuning, or use outside the manufacturer's intended application
  • Cosmetic items, paint, or external accessories
  • Consequential or incidental damages, including downtime, towing, or lost revenue

4. Installation Requirements

To preserve warranty eligibility, all commercial engines and transmissions must be installed by a qualified, certified diesel mechanic or marine technician. Installation should follow OEM service procedures, including:

  • Replacing all gaskets, seals, hoses, and consumables
  • Replacing engine oil, coolant, fuel filters, and air filters
  • Cleaning or replacing the fuel system, cooler, and oil cooler as applicable
  • Verifying compatibility of ECM, harness, sensors, and accessories
  • Performing a proper break-in procedure

Customers should retain installation records, mechanic invoices, and maintenance documentation. These records may be required to validate a warranty claim.

5. Filing a Warranty Claim

To submit a warranty claim:

  • Contact 844-660-9229 or email support@commercial-engines.com within the warranty period
  • Provide your invoice number, date of installation, mechanic information, and a written description of the failure
  • Provide installation, oil-change, and maintenance records
  • Do not disassemble the unit without authorization; failed components must be returned freight-prepaid for inspection

All warranty claims are subject to supplier review and approval. Tampering, unauthorized disassembly, or operation after the failure is detected may void coverage.

6. Independent Supplier — No OEM Affiliation

Commercial Engines LLC is an independent supplier and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any original equipment manufacturer. Trademarks and brand names referenced are property of their respective owners and are used solely for product identification.

7. Disclaimer of Other Warranties

Except for the express, written warranty provided on the invoice, Commercial Engines LLC disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so portions of this disclaimer may not apply to you.
