Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of commercial-engines.com and the commercial engine sourcing services provided by Commercial Engines LLC ("Commercial Engines", "we", "us", "our"). By using our website, submitting a quote request, or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Commercial Engines LLC
Commercial Engines LLC operates as an independent commercial engine sourcing and supplier network. We connect commercial buyers, fleet operators, repair shops, and marine outfitters with used, rebuilt, and remanufactured diesel engines, transmissions, and related powertrain components through a nationwide supplier network.
2. Independent Supplier — No OEM Affiliation
Commercial Engines LLC is an independent supplier and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored byany original equipment manufacturer, including but not limited to Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar, Volvo, Volvo Penta, Paccar, Mack, Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Hino, Mitsubishi Fuso, Yanmar, Yamaha, Mercury, MerCruiser, John Deere, Perkins, Kubota, Deutz, or any other OEM. All trademarks, brand names, model numbers, and logos referenced are the property of their respective owners and are used solely for product identification.
3. Quotes, Pricing & Availability
- All quotes are estimates based on supplier inventory at the time of inquiry and are subject to confirmation.
- Product availability is subject to stock and may change without notice.
- Pricing may change due to supplier adjustments, freight market conditions, or currency fluctuation.
- Product images and descriptions are for reference only; actual units may vary in cosmetic condition, accessories, or configuration.
- Engine condition descriptions are based on inspection at the time of intake.
4. Compatibility & Installation
Customers are responsible for verifying compatibility of the engine, transmission, or part with their vehicle, vessel, or application prior to purchase. We recommend confirming part numbers, casting codes, ECM compatibility, and fitment with a qualified diesel mechanic, marine technician, or OEM dealer.
Installation of commercial engines and transmissions must be performed by qualified, certified professionals. Improper installation may void any applicable warranty and may cause damage, injury, or loss.
5. Orders & Payment
- Orders are confirmed once payment (or required deposit) is received and a written sales order is issued.
- We accept major credit cards, ACH transfers, and wire transfers. Specific terms are noted on each invoice.
- Special-order, custom-built, or rare units may require a non-refundable deposit.
- Title to goods transfers upon full payment and carrier pickup, whichever is later.
6. Freight & Shipping
Freight shipping is arranged through third-party carriers and quoted separately based on weight, dimensions, origin, and destination. Transit times are estimates only and may vary due to carrier capacity, weather, or regulatory delays. Risk of loss transfers to the buyer upon carrier pickup. See our Shipping Policy for full details.
7. Returns, Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation and refund terms are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Orders may not be canceled once dispatched without restocking and round-trip freight charges. Special-order items may be non-refundable.
8. Warranty
Warranty coverage varies by engine type, supplier, and condition (used, rebuilt, or remanufactured). Specific terms are confirmed in writing on each invoice. See our Warranty Disclaimer for full details.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of Commercial Engines LLC arising out of or related to your purchase, the website, or these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, business interruption, downtime, labor charges, towing, or freight costs, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
